Austin’s Been Soaked This Summer — Here’s What That Means for Your Floors (and Sanity)

Austin’s been drenched this summer, and with it comes muddy floors, humid funk, and homes that feel impossible to keep clean. In this blog, Mike breaks down what local families are dealing with across Hyde Park, East Austin, and beyond — and how recurring cleaning isn’t about perfection, it’s about peace of mind.
Austin or Seattle? It's been a rainy summer!

This summer’s been wet. Like... "did we move to Seattle?" wet.

Between surprise thunderstorms, sideways rain, flash floods, and humidity that hits like a wall when you open the door — keeping your home clean has been a full-time job.

Especially if you’ve got pets, kids, or that one friend who refuses to wipe their feet.

We’ve been hearing the same thing from folks all over Hyde Park, Cherrywood, Bouldin, and East Austin:

“Every time I clean, I blink and it’s dirty again.”

Let’s just call it what it is:

A recurring clean is less about perfection and more about not losing your mind.

We’re not trying to make your home look like a magazine cover. We’re trying to make sure you’re not stuck scrubbing tile on a Sunday night because the dog came in looking like he ran through Barton Creek.

This is what we’re seeing every week right now:

  • Mud tracked in through the front and back
  • Water spots all over the floors
  • Humidity turning dust into actual grime
  • Entryways that smell... not fresh
  • Bathrooms working overtime if you’ve got guests, roommates, or Airbnb turnover

We’ve got recurring clients in South Lamar, Mueller, and Westlake who have us come through every week or two, just to keep it manageable. That’s it. Nothing fancy.

Just clean enough to live. Clean enough to breathe.

And when they walk back in after we’ve been through? Every single time:

“Dang, I needed that.”

If the rain’s been making your house feel like a constant project, we can help.

No pressure, no contracts, no salesy nonsense. Just honest cleaning by people who give a damn.

You chill. We’ll handle the floors.
